There is nothing better than seeing the fruits, that will belong to you, of hard labor that was not your own.  The walls have been torn down to create an extra large classroom in the back of the store where we can have all sorts of sewing and quilting classes.  We are having the ceiling raised so we can hang quilts and other fun things. Below, behold the framing that has begun on the office and bathroom that will be in the back of the classroom.

In the space that will become the classroom, there were several sets of long tube fluorescent lights hanging from the ceiling, contained by these art deco-ish endcaps.  They had to come down, but Mom and I are pretty enamored with them. We are sure we must make something with them or use them somehow. Any ideas?

Welcome to the official blog of Suppose!

We’re starting things form the ground up here. Not the floor, not the floor joists, the ground. The dirt that our building was built on, long long ago.  So long ago that there’s not even a foundation. We wanted to open a fabric shop, but needed a space, so we bought a building right on the main drag here in Preston, Idaho. To get it just the way we want, he hired Uncle Sheldon to remodel. And this is what he found: rotted moldy floors!  Not to worry, today the rot was replaced by cement.

This view is from the back of our shop, looking into what will be a portion of our classroom. In the distance is what will be the retail floor. There was a pseudo wall there before, and there will be an actual wall there in the future. Every day the workers seem to think we are disturbed by the mess or the ruckus, but really we are ecstatic to see the progress!
