We’ve got a fun new collection from Paula Prass for Michael Miller!

We’re thinking of using it to make a horse blanket for some lucky pony to wear in the upcoming That Famous Preston Night Rodeo Parade here in Idaho. If you are in the area next weekend, come by for the Rodeo Sale!

plinko

Saturday, July 4th, 2009

A couple weeks ago we had a little picnic themed sale at which we let everyone who made a purchase play Plinko a la “The Price Is Right” to win a discount.  The prizes ranged from 5% off to free fat quarter to a $10 gift certificate.  Our big winner of the day was Tina who reenacted the win for us.

tina wins!

The Plinko game originated by “The Price Is Right” is rumored to have been inspired by a Japanese game called Pachinko that’s sort of like pinball.  It was called Plinko because of the plinking sound the chip made as it fell through the pegs and it’s true!  Our own Plinko board, which Kathy made herself, sings when you play it.  We had so much fun with it that we might just have to pull it out for future events.

this saturday may 9: mother’s apron party

Tuesday, May 5th, 2009

My own mother taught me everything I know. How to run a kitchen, how to find beauty, how to be kind, how to have fun… and of course how to quilt. She is the mature half of the Suppose creative genius.

And of course, her mother taught her everything she knows.  This is her mother and father, my Grandma and Grandpa Smith, the weekend they met, I believe.  Lucky for us, we get get a visit from Grandma Smith every Friday at Suppose.

This Saturday at Suppose we’ll be having a celebration in honor of our mothers and grandmothers:

Your Mother’s Apron Party

Here are the details:

Saturday, May 9, 10am-6pm

Wear a vintage apron and get 20% off any one cut of fabric.  All kitchen themed fabric, food themed fabric, home decor weight fabric, and oilcloth will be 15% off.  We will be serving homemade cookies and demonstrating our favorite sewing tools that our mothers and grandmothers only dreamed of when they first started sewing, plus complimentary make-&-take projects in the classroom.

Don’t forget, Suppose gift certificates make the perfect Mother’s Day gift, and are available in any denomination.

See you Saturday!
